WEDNESDAY 11th JANUARY
LONDON, ENGLAND
PRE-SHOW
SMITH SISTERS CHALLENGE
Jessica Carter & Avery Smith v Patti Rose
Rose came rushing to the ring and landed several blows early on but was no match for the Smith Sisters in the end. After the match Avery got on the mic and challenged anyone to fight them. ‘Forget the Queens of Chaos, we are the Queens of the PRE-SHOW! And next week we’ll be bringing the Tag Titles back with us to entertain you die hard fans that get here early!’ This didn’t get the loud cheer they’d hoped from the ten people that were in attendance but they didn’t care. The message had been sent.
WINNERS: Jessica Carter & Avery Smith
The camera cuts to backstage where Lola Dane is standing in a hallway, she has one ear bud as she bounces on her heels. She was already in her wrestling gear and looked ready for her title match coming up later that night. Lola looked over and saw the camera, a smile appearing across her red lips as she took a step towards it.
LOLA DANE: Welp… This is it, folks. The biggest night of my career. I mean let’s say I was just facing Rowen without the title, that is huge! You throw a championship on the line and this is a mega gigantic and crazy match for me. It’s like a T-Rex of matches. I’ve never had a title match before but the only thing I can do is my best and see if I can defeat her. I think I can. I know other people do too, so let’s frickin’ do it!
Lola nodded her head, hyping herself up for the upcoming fight.
LOLA DANE: Now I know Lola versus Rowen for the TV title is a dream match for lots of fans but there is one sour puss around here who wants to be a brat. We all know it’s Cassie and she has vowed to ruin MY match because SHE failed to keep her belt. What does her losing have to do with me? Nothing but crazy people act crazy, right? If she does poke her nose in this thing she’ll regret it though. This is my night and if anyone ruins it I’m not gonna be very forgiving. This match is me and Rowen, one on one and the best lady is leaving with a belt. End of story. That’s how it needs to be and I know Rowen agrees with me.
Lola took a deep breath and adjusted the fishnets on her arms before grinning.
LOLA DANE: But enough chat for now… It’s booty whoopin’ time!
Lola sticks out her tongue and holds up some devil horns before turning and heading off to get in position for her match.

Journeyman Phillips was backstage with Juno Jevons and a colossal looking bearded man. Phillips said he was done trying to mentor his sons and godson. The apples had fallen too far from the tree, and instead he would be passing on his years of knowledge and expertise to somebody else. Somebody he believed in. He then introduced his lesser known cousin, 'Big Ben' Phillips. Ben was six foot eleven, and over six hundred pounds, and with Phillips' guidance there would be nobody to stop him from dominating Modern Pro Wrestling. His reign of terror would begin next week and god help anyone that stood in their way.

[ Cut scene backstage, The Reckless Dollz standing by, Rowen Spencer and Vanessa Reckless. Of course, Vanessa did her signature "roar" at the camera and ripped her Bunny mask off. Rowen the newly crowned TV champion stood there with a wicked smile upon her face.]
Rowen: "Welcome to The Reckless Era, it's going to be fun, it's going to be a great time. Last week, I became the TV champion. Come on, did you really think I'd let that little cry-baby beat me? The Reckless Dollz don't play well with others. I beat Cassie cleanly and fairly. Yet, she took to social media like a whiny little bitch and crying and complaining she got screwed? I stole this lovely price of art from her? Shut the fuck up, Cassie. You lost. You tripped over your own damn foot! And you tapped out! You know why? You aren't on my level."
[ Rowen laughed as she looked down at the TV championship.]
Rowen: "Thankfully, Lola, she's a worthy opponent and has earned an opportunity to face me. However, Cassie, [Laughs] you being a dumb-bitch and threatening to ruin Lola's opportunity? Wow, how conceited of you. You wanna involve your family? I invite them, I truly do. However, It won't be pretty especially if their attention crosses and stands in Vanessa's way of beating your ungrateful ass."
[ Vanessa laughed, she smirked evilly at the camera before her.]
Vanessa Reckless: "Cassie, you face me tonight. You think being inside the ring with Rowen was bad? You've never been inside the ring with somebody like me. I give no fucks, I just wanna hurt you. I just wanna cause as much chaos as possible. Bring your family, bring your mother, sister and everyone. But unless this company wants a lawsuit? I'd recommend banning them from the building because I will slaughter them."
[ Vanessa laughed.]
Vanessa Reckless: "Word of advice? Stop worrying about Rowen. Stop worrying about Lola. You should be worrying about me. Those monsters your parents warned you about? It's me. I will drag you to hell, I will take your soul and you will never be the same again. I'm that darkness that goes bump in the night and you will never forget me."
[ Vanessa laughed. ]
Rowen:"The Ear Of The Reckless Dollz starts tonight and we're coming for everything, everyone. After I take care of the lovely blue smurfette and Vanessa destroys that abomination Cassie. Deathriders? We're coming for you, bet. You invited us to play and now want to attempt obstacles? Or are you just scared? Scared that the second you step into the ring with a superior tag team you will lose?"
[Rowen smirked.]
Vanessa Reckless: "Don't be scared, we play nice. I promise, it won't hurt. However, Cassie? Darlin' WELCOME TO YOUR RECKLESS NIGHTMARE BITCH!"
[ Vanessa roared at the camera, she then skipped off with Rowen soon behind her.]
TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Rowen (c) v Lola Dane
The night's action kicked straight off with the Television Title match as per custom. Rowen and Lola made their entrances and several other wrestlers followed to ensure the match would be ‘unadulterated’ to quote LBT. The bell rang and as if on queue the cameras cut to the backstage area focusing in on the main entrance doors. A furious looking Cassie Wolfe came bursting through. Every one in and around the ring looked up at the screen and readied themselves as she marched through the corridors towards the ring but before she could reach the gorilla an arm appeared to pull her back. She flipped around and raised her fist but soon dropped it when she saw who it was and promptly stopped in her tracks. The cameras cut off and returned to ringside with everyone none the wiser. Rowen wasted no time in attacking Lola, herself distracted by the commotion backstage. Lola fought back and got herself on top but was continuously looking over her shoulder at the entrance ramp throughout. In the end this was to be her downfall as a lapse in concentration let Rowen back in for a Roundhouse Kick there was no coming back from.
WINNER: Rowen (Still Television Champion)

WINNER: Rowen (Still Television Champion)
Backstage Lola Dane was standing by with Juno Jevons. Visibly disappointed, she put on a brave face and accepted her loss. Tonight was not her night, and she was happy to admit that. But making it this far was the first step in becoming a champion. Every one will have had to dust themselves off and get back up again, and she was no different. She vowed to pick up a few more wins and get another opportunity at the TV Title in the coming weeks. Juno asked if the pre-match drama had put her off. Lola said it did effect her preparations, and Cassie's response to losing the belt was embarrassing. But Rowen was in the same situation so it wasn't fair to blame that on the loss. 'Everyone loses in the business, some of us just know how to deal with it.'
SINGLES MATCH
Vanessa Reckless v Cassie Wolfe
Vanessa Reckless v Cassie Wolfe
Vanessa was out first and waited calmly for Cassie’s entrance but when the music hit she was no where to be seen. Vanessa took the mic and began to mock her, saying her emotions had clearly got the better of her this past week and maybe she had realised after all she didn’t belong in the ring with the likes of the Reckless Dollz. It was then that a figure appeared over the crowd barrier, a steel chair in hand, and entered the ring from behind. The crowd went wild when they noticed it was Cassie. Rowen noticed first and she let Vanessa know but it was too late, as the chair swung around her head and she dropped to the mat. Rowen climbed in to recover her friend but Cassie was ready to give her the same treatment. At this point another woman came running down the ramp and pulled Cassie out of the way. 'Krystal Wolfe!' yelled the commentators, surprised to see Cassie's cousin in an MPW ring. She dragged a reluctant Cassie back up the rampway, and into the backstage area, as Rowen ensured Vanessa wasn't badly injured.
WINNER: No Contest
"Cassie Wolfe has not taken last week's defeat lightly."
"That's an under statement. Emotions still running high. Will she regret her actions? The fans don't seem to mind in fairness. If anything it's made her more popular. Says a lot about the British!"
The show begins in the ring, as ”Bow Down” by I Prevail begins to play over the speakers. Out from the curtains pops the Modern Pro Wrestling’s first ever British Heavyweight Champion, Jessi Ozborne, flanked as always by MPW’s first Tag Team Champions, Kaya and Lilith Parker! The three stand at the top of the ramp, observing the fans showing either their love or disdain for the Queens of Chaos members. The three make their way down to the ring as an announcement can be heard.
”Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the MPW Tag Team Champions, The Deathriders, and the inaugural MPW British Heavyweight Champion…Jessi! Ozborne!”
Jessi lip syncs along to the announcement of her name, clearly in jovial spirits as she and the Parker sisters make their way into the ring! They each raise their belts proudly to the sky, before Jessi requests the microphone to speak.
”Hello, London…”
Crowd: “PAPI’S HOME!!”
”Indeed she is! Now, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect throughout the past week. About what I did last week, about what I’ve done since coming to Modern Pro Wrestling. Quite frankly, I couldn’t really think of the words to say right at this moment, so it’s fortunate that a few choice words from our first address here in MPW says it all in itself. In that, I believe I said something along the lines of:
Now, if I’m being honest, that philosophy has changed a bit since. We’ve since opted to gain respect over fear, since it’s better for ratings. But that’s almost besides the point.”
Jessi pauses to take in the reactions of the crowd before continuing.
”Because you see, what’s almost even more important than the words that I said there, is the context in which I said them. If you wanna go back to the Night 1 show and fact check me on the accuracy of that quote, go ahead. But it ain’t just some off-handed remark thrown into the middle of the show and never talked about again. You’re not gonna be pressing fast forward repeatedly to find it. Those words came from the cold open, from the very first shot.
But one thing remains true, and it’s that whether you like it or not, whether you wanna admit it or not, you have to acknowledge that the Queens of Chaos are the foundation of MPW. We are the bedrock that this place has begun to build off of, the standard bearers for what the best wrestling this side of the pond looks like. We proved it from day one when the best damn tag team in the world, The Deathriders, scored the Tag Team Championships. And I further proved it last week, when I powered through two of the best around here to become your inaugural British Heavyweight Champion”
Jessi once again pauses to let the crowd react. A good majority of them are behind the words she’s saying, though it’s clear she hasn’t made everyone a believer.
”But there’s a saying I remember hearing a while ago that went: ‘Everyone wants to win a championship, but very few want to be a champion’. And trust and believe me when I say that we are the few. Starting tonight, our goal is simple: To put our titles, and Modern Pro Wrestling as a whole, on the map. And starts with having some of the best matches of our careers like the main event we have on tap tonight.
See, I’m willing to admit that my first match here in MPW was a bit of a bust. Triple Threat matches tend to be for more people than not. People may treat me not eating the pin in that match as a victory, or at the very least not an abject failure. But that’s not the case for someone like me. For me, anything less than a victory is nothing to brag about. Now while I got my win, technically, over Cassie Wolfe, I still have yet to win a fair fight against either of the people I faced that night. And considering Cassie’s probably out buying more red string to pin to The Pope or some shit to string together some conspiracy theories for why she lost the Television Title, it’s fitting that I’m then left with my opponent tonight, Daphne Martini.”
Another pause from Jessi, this time to observe the amount of support her opponent has heading into tonight’s main event.
”Now, don’t get me wrong, the irony that my first opponent after winning this British Heavyweight Title happens to be the only Brit in this London-based wrestling promotion ain’t lost on me. What also ain’t lost on me is Daph’s win-loss record, the “loss” column of which is getting pretty damn full. And yet, she seems to think it’s “for my benefit” that this match tonight isn’t for the title, and that I should just chill out and not take it too seriously. And hell, that may gel well for the party girl who’s tonsils are probably bathing in Jack Daniels on the regular. But for those of us who actually come here to wrestle first, that shit ain’t gonna fly. And considering that one side is the top dog of this company, and the other has yet to pick up a single win, it’s not hard to tell which side is in the right.
I have a responsibility, in and out of the ring, to make sure Modern Pro Wrestling is destination television. That means that this place is getting my all every single time I step through that curtain. Because when Papi promises, Papi delivers.
The crowd chants along to Jessi’s parting catchphrase.
”You’re. FUCKING. Welcome.”
And with a drop of the mic, Jessi and The Parkers make their exit, walking up the rampway before stopping at the top of the stage to raise their championship belts in the air one more time before walking through the curtains again.
SINGLES MATCH
Blaze Darling v Abigail Grim
Blaze Darling v Abigail Grim
There was a real mismatch in style here and it showed from the off, with both women making the other quite uncomfortable for periods of the match. Blaze, adept at high flying and techincal wrestling, played to her strengths but Grim tried turning it into a slugfest at every given opprtunity. In the end Blaze's technical supremity won out, and she sealed the match with a Fujiwars Armbar transitioned into a Triangle Choke she calls Part of Your World.
WINNER: Blaze Darling
"Blaze Darling has come to MPW with A LOT of promise. Maybe this will kickstart something."
"Well three Queens already have gold around their waist here. Perhaps that success is rubbing off a little."
Backstage Cassie Wolfe was in a heated debate with her cousin, Krystal. Cassie wasn't happy in her meddling in her affairs. She could deal with it herself, and in her own way. Krystal disagreed though, saying it nearly got her suspended from MPW and that if she wanted to regain the TV Title, she needed to prove herself. She had a big target on her back now, the Reckless Dollz would be after her, even with the Television Title in their possession. Cassie wasn't concerned at first, but Krystal said she would stick around a bit longer in MPW and ensure things didn't get out of hand. Ensure someone had her back, because right now, she was making an enemy of too many people. 'Let the wrestling do the talking,' were her final words, as Cassie halfheartedly agreed.

We find the cameras zooming in on an ongoing celebration some place in the heart of London. In the distance, Hijo de la Muerta can be seen nursing a drink, before we find the holder of the camera to be none other than Jvstice Hardy. He smiles as the phone is turned in his direction capturing the arrogant smirk we’ve come to know him for.
Jvstice Hardy: “Now now Ladies and G’s, you didn’t think just because I wasn’t booked for tonight’s show that I wouldn’t drop in and give you a little 411 again right? Me and my home Hijo have been enjoying ourselves in what I’m calling a Hardy Party, we got some bomb ass fans down here who want to watch the show and so they’re getting to, while hanging with us of course.”
He did a bit of a head nod, generally acknowledging the people behind the lens.
Jvstice Hardy: “the truth is I’m doing solid now, but it amazes me that someone with my name and legacy has to continually beg for opportunities. Preston seems to not be sure what to do with me, he must know that not too many people measure up, but hey I get it, share the spotlight Hardy, we’ve got some Chaos Queens that run the company.”
He rolled his eyes and let out a laugh.
Jvstice Hardy: “this isn’t the shit on them hour, but I’m going to make something clear, unless your boy asks for it, I don’t like sitting idly by while others are continually getting opportunities. I didn’t move my entire life to work for this company to be sitting at home while others get title shots and accolades. So I’m going to offer this warning just this once, give me something to do Preston or I’ll have to find some way to entertain myself and it won’t be by throwing a party."
There was a wink given to the camera before the feed ends abruptly.
SINGLES MATCH
Lil' Blanco Tigre v Azurine Vebbins
Vebbins came out handing milk cartons to the kids in the front row in honour of National Milk Day while Blanco relaxed on the ropes looking quietly confident, but it was Vebbins that started the match on the front foot, delighted at the opportunity to show the London fans what she was capable of. Blanco just about kept up with her more experienced counterpart but a knee strike put her on the ground at around the five minute mark. Vebbins turned to face the cheering crowd momentarily but that was all Blanco needed as she duly pulled her backwards into the Crouching Tiger (Small Package Cradle) out of nowhere. Vebbins, practically unscathed and on top at this point, never saw it coming and had no time to react before the pin. Blanco rolled out the ring and nonchalantly made her way up the ramp, while Vebbins jumped to feet, perplexed how it was all over so quickly. She shook her head with a wry smile, and spent some time with the fans on her way to the backstage area.
WINNER: Lil' Blanco Tigre
"She talked about it. She didn't hide her game plan, and still she pulled it off. Bravo Lil' Blanco Tigre."
"Azurine Vebbins can't believe that just happened. She was in total control and then BAM! Game over."
Backstage Lil Blanco Tigre was with Juno Jevons. She was pretty calm but nonetheless pleased with the win. She said it was good to back up her claims against a strong, and experienced opponent in Azurine Vebbins. But challenges like this were her raison d'etre. She looked forward to springing more surprises in the future, iterating her claims for a shot at the vacant Junior Heavyweight Title.
SINGLES MATCH
NON-TITLE
Jessi Ozborne v Daphne Martini
NON-TITLE
Jessi Ozborne v Daphne Martini
Daphne came out to a strong reception. The British grappler always getting a lift out of the front row fans. Jessi received a welcome return to the ring herself, the crowd excited to see the new champion in competitive action. Daphne ran wild early on, unsurprisingly keen to impress and make a name for herself but a snap powerslam put an end to the early dominance. After that she tried valiantly to land some high risk aerial moves but Jessi was never down long enough to land them. She tried to hit a Russian Leg Sweep was but it was cleverly reversed by Jessi into one of her own. With Daphne on the backfoot now she followed up with an axe kick. 'The End' soon followed, quite literally, with a Double Rotation Moonsault and a three count to follow.
WINNER: Jessi Ozborne
"Impressive win for the new champion. A good first test but she came through it."
"Daphne will take a lot from this. All the ingredients are there for a promising young wrestler."
"But it's Jessi's night again. They will come calling, they will want to take down the champ. Heavy lies the crown, and when you carry that belt you carry the target that comes along with it."
