NIGHT FIVE
ALL ROADS LEAD TO LONDON
WEDNESDAY 21st DECEMBER
LONDON, ENGLAND
PRE-SHOW
MAIN SHOW
Preston Edwards was waiting backstage as Cassie Wolfe came through the curtains. He said what she'd gone on to achieve in recent weeks was nothing short of impressive, and while the open invitational scenario had been fun to watch, from next week they wouldn't be carrying on with it. Wolfe looked pleased, saying that it was hard work fighting twice in one night plus not knowing who she would be up against each week, but like a true champion she had got on with it. Edwards agreed, and as a reward he said she could name her own opponent for next weeks defence, as long as she notified him of who before the end of the night. Wolfe liked the sound of this, and said she would get back to him.
We cut to the back where Hijo de la Muerta is shown, standing alone, in one of the back hallways. He looks to be psyching himself up and when he realises the camera is on him, he freezes in place for a moment, before giving a thumbs up and several nods of his head.
Hijo: Tonight is sure to be the toughest match of my career so far. My opponent is a very dangerous man and far more experienced. However, I have pure, raw talent, the training to use that talent to its greatest potential, and the heart to push me past the finish line. Alexander Sokolov has talent, and plenty of training, but he doesn’t have the desire that I have. Tonight, I will advance in this tournament and, eventually, I will become the British Heavyweight Champion!
He pumps his fist in the air as he walks off camera, hyping himself up for his match later on tonight.
After a short break we come back to Preston Edwards stood in the ring. There's a stand with a sheet over it. He says the roster has grown in not just size but in quality too. There are some tough bastards to say the least, which he segwayed into the introduction of the newest MPW singles title. The Melee Championship. This title, he explained, could only be won via knockout or submission. He had thought about who he would like to see first contest this belt, and more importantly who he thinks the fans would like to see. Following their match tonight, Anthony Cross, Till Schlotterbeck and Grimaldi would get back in the ring together next week, with one other competitor. This excited the fans, but he wasn't finished. As the roster continued to grow, he envisioned further singles titles would be needed to keep wreslter's motivated and rewarded. He hinted that a Junior Heavywweight division may well be on the cards, but such announcements would be confirmed in the new year.
A furious Jvstice Hardy was storming through the backstage area when he was stopped by Juno Jevons for his thoughts. Hardy said he came from a great wrestling family, and his natural ability and genetics would make him a star in MPW. He was adamant that he nine times out of ten he would beat Lilith Parker, despite slipping up tonight. Journeyman Phillips then came into shot, to say he couldn't help but over hear. He said the Hardy name was one he knew all too well, a name to be respected even. But unlike his predecessors he (Jvstice) hadn't yet earned that respect. Hardy said that was ironic, given Louis Phillips and Albert Campbell were diminishing any respect people had for him by losing every week. This angered Phillips, who suggested one of his boys should face Hardy next week, and show him what true legacy looks like. Hardy said his 'boys' were a joke, and that he could beat them both at the same time if it came to it. Hardy began to walk away when Phillips suggested they put that to the test, next week. Hardy paused, processing what he'd actually said, before nodding his head in agreement and carrying on up the corridor.
After the match Tigre didn't hold back pointing the blame at Blaze for their loss, accusing her of being selfish by fighting earlier in the night and not being fresh for their match. Darling was quick to highlight that if Tigre had been where she should be when she needed her they would have won. They bickered back and forth before going their separate ways in annoyance.
Backstage a dejected Blaze Darling was on her way out the door when she was confronted by the Reckless Dollz. Vanessa sarcastically put her hand on her shoulder. 'Tough break out there, Tag Team wrestling isn't for everyone though.' she said. Rowen joked that maybe singles wrestling wasn't her thing either and that it must be rough losing twice in one night. Blaze put her bag down, readying for a fight but was suddenly held back by Cassie Wolfe, who had heard what was going on. Wolfe said maybe in a couple of weeks they should have a tag match of their own, so her and Blaze could wipe the smug looks off their faces. Rowen retorted with 'Why wait?' But Wolfe said it would be more satisfying in the ring, in front of all the MPW fans. She had a better idea for the time being though, as a teaser, the two of them could go one on one next week, for her Television Title. Rowen nodded. 'I'm coming for that crown, Princess.' she said, before walking off.

PRE-SHOW
Varsity Vixens v Jessica Carter & Avery Smith
An exciting warm up before the cameras got rolling saw Carter and Smith beat the Varsity Vixens in a close encounter. The Vixens showed a lot of promise but ultimately couldn't match the experience of Carter and Smith, the latter putting things to bed with a High Knee (Smalltown Boy).
WINNERS: Jessica Carter & Avery Smith

MAIN SHOW
TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Cassie Wolfe (c) v TBC
Cassie came out to a big reception, microphone in one hand and TV Title in the other. As her music stopped she formally announced the opening of her court and welcomed whoever was about to step through the curtains, but warned she would not be giving up her title tonight. “Shake It” by Metro Station began to play as out stepped Blaze Darling. Cassie let out a wry smile at the sight of her friend and applauded as she made her way to the ring. The two embraced before locking up and getting the night's main action underway. Blaze had some great early success, playing on her submission style to get the upper hand and wear Cassie down. But Cassie often foiled her plans, the two women clearly knowing one another too well. It went back and forth for quite some time, several close two counts on either side. The Coronation was the final nail in the coffin though, a perfectly executed Corkscrew 630 Splash that Blaze wasn't coming back from. She was soon back on her feet though, rightly humble and dignified and raised her friend's hand aloft in celebration as the crowd applauded them both.
WINNER: Cassie Wolfe (Still MPW Television Champion)
"What a great start to the night!"
"The streak continues, Cassie taking on all comers it seems. Who will be next?"

Triple Threat Match
Till Schlotterbeck v Anthony Cross v Grimaldi
The three heavyweights all stood apart sizing each other up as the bell rang and an all out melee ensued. It was pure chaos, neither man seemingly interested in working with one another for more than a few seconds at a time, resulting in a back and forth tussle that went round and round in circles. Till got a big cheer when he slapped Grimaldi in the face, as he relished the close combat his opponents offered him. Cross, no stranger to these encounters, seemed to instinctively know when to look over his shoulder, as Grimaldi sought to out-wit his opponents wherever possible. Eventually he (Grimaldi) decided enough was enough, and pushed the commentator off his chair, brought it into the ring and firmly wrapped it around the head of Anthony Cross. The Referee signalled for the bell immediately and tried pulling it off Grimaldi, but was hugely over-powered. A furious Till attacked him without hesitation, as the two men brawled out of the ring and through the crowd.
WINNER: Anthony Cross (by disqualification)
"That was chaotic and we loved every bit of it."
"Indeed, just a shame we didn't get a natural ending. Some scores to be settled here."

Singles Match
Rowen v Kelly Kash
Rowen and Vanessa came out to the usual chorus of abuse, revelling in their perceived relevance. Kash soon followed, somewhat surprised by the reception she received, presumably due to last week's match with Patti Rose. She didn't pay too much attention, keeping her focus on Rowen throughout as the match got underway with little delay. Kash was on the front foot from the off, dangerous yet chaotic in the early stages, giving Rowen a difficult time. But the Box Queen was never out of contention and reversed a neck breaker with a Russian Leg Sweep to switch momentum out of nowhere. She didn't let up from there on in and a neat Roundhouse Kick put her right where she needed to be to get the three count.
Winner: Rowen
"Back to back wins for Rowen now in MPW. She weathered the early storm there and pulled it out the bag."
"Kash will be naturally disappointed, but the fans have taken to her already."

British Heavyweight Title Tournament
Yua Watanabe v Vanessa Reckless
Reckless was very shrewd and composed from the outset, offering little opportunity for Watanabe to display her abilities. It was fairly one way traffic throughout, as each time Yua found a rope break she instinctively knew what to do next and avoid any let up. A Tilt a-whirl Headscissors Take Down followed by a Curb Stomp (Reckless Mask) was the final blow as she pointed into the cameras afterward to send a message to her would be next opponent.
WINNER: Vanessa Reckless (Advances to the Semi Finals)
"Reckless is the first advance into the Semis with a fairly routine win."
"Let's see who she'll be up against next!"

British Heavyweight Title Tournament
Lilith Parker v Jvstice Hardy
Jvstice Hardy looked every bit as self-assured as we've come to expect, nonchalantly waiting on the turnbuckle for Lilith's entrance. Parker, her sister in tow, looked more stoic and emotionless than usual, as she slid under the ropes and stared down her heavier-set opponent. Hardy made use of his size and strength to ensure Parker was over-powered as much as possible, but she was cannier than he expected and began fighting back with strikes and suplexes. Hardy though had the wherewithal to switch things up and tried turning it into the a technical contest. It was back and forth by and large with Hardy looking the more comfortable of the two, but he his hubris was his downfall in the end, as he sensed the end in sight, but Parker was playing possum and hit him with a superkick he wasn't expecting. Hardy fell backwards as she followed up with a Superknee Slingshot (running bicycle knee) before making the three count as quickly as humanly possible to ensure he didn't get back to his feet.
WINNER: Lilith Parker (Advances to the Semi Finals)
"Lilith Parker versus Vanessa Reckless in the Semi-Finals of the British Heavyweight Title Tournament! These two have history in Tag competition. Should be fascinating."
"Hardy comes up just a little bit short tonight, but the potential he's shown already.. It's inevitable he'll go onto great things, much like the rest of his family."

Tag Team Match
Lola Dane & Eddie Decks v Blaze Darling & Lil' Blanco Tigre
Blaze and Tigre were out first, the fans excited to see them both. There was a mutual respect as they discussed who would go first whilst awaiting their opponents. Dane was out first and nervously waited to see if her opponent would appear, given the online rumours of her disappearance earlier from the business in the week, but was relieved to see Decks appear at the top of the ramp as he two embraced inside the ring pre-match. Things got underway very quickly, and the duo of Darling and Tigre seemed to be a good combination. Fans enjoyed seeing Tigre's unique style up close as she looked to get the match won with as little effort as possible, but was smart enough to know when she needed support from Blaze. After some time the natural chemistry of Decks and Dane seemed to kick in and they wowed the crowd with quick tags and combinations. However, the roles were reversed late on by Blaze Darling, pulling out a spinning heel kick on Decks. She went for a quick pin but Dane was on to it. Tigre saw her coming, and cut her off mid-break, but Decks kicked out anyway. The two fell to the outside of the ring, unbeknown to their partners as a tired Blaze looked up needing a tag, but Tigre wasn't where she expected her to be. The hesitation was all Decks needed to get claw it back, hitting the Twisted Metal (Twisting Corner Slingshot Splash) to seal the win.

British Heavyweight Title Tournament
Kaya Parker v Jessi Ozborne
The two allies came out separately, Lilith nowhere in sight for this one, as the tension grew inside the ring. It was a constant display of technical abilities, two wrestlers that knew one another inside out, and neither really unable to get a proper advantage for what seemed like an eternity. After some time Kaya went for a pin, using the ropes to her advantage but the Referee noticed and broke things up. Both back on their feet, Jessi wagged her finger at Kaya as if to say 'That's not how we're doing it'. Kaya snarled, uninterested in anything but the win, and they locked back up. A Chokehold STO looked to be the move she needed to seal the win, but Jessi wasn't going down. Whatever Kaya did, she found a way to fight back and a Lariat swung momentum back in her favour. Kaya steadily rose to her feet but Jessi wasted no time in sending her back down with a Russian Leg Sweep and a Double Rotation Moonsault aptly named The End to clinch her place in the Semi-Finals.
WINNER: Jessi Ozborne (Advances to the Semi-Finals)
"Well, well. Ozborne gets the better of her fellow Queen, but what will this mean for their relationship?"
"I don't think it'll matter. If they're as ambitious as they say they are, they know they'll have to face each other at times. Tonight could easily have been Kaya's night."

MAIN EVENT
British Heavyweight Title Tournament
Alexander Sokolov v Hijo de la Muerta
Sokolov came face to face with the masked rookie, visibly trying to intimidate him. Hijo, albeit his face covered, remained calm and composed as Sokolov gave a him a tirade of verbal abuse before the bell. Once it rang though Hijo didn't hold back. Sensing the aggression that would come his way he went toe to toe with the mad Russian. He had done his research and was prepared for a fight. Naturally, this excited Sokolov and only motivated him to 'get stuck in'. He was soon on top, the natural brawler of the two, and began 'teaching Hijo a lesson' in how to 'fight like a man'. He taunted the wounded Hijo to get back on his feet, the inexperienced high-flyer appearing, momentarily, out of his depth. But as Sokolov looked to inflict more damage he pulled out a Snap Suplex. The Russian came back but a dropkick later and he was grounded. Hijo sensed his window of opportunity hit a Running Leg Drop before his Death From Above (Sky Twister Press) to pull off the biggest win of his short career, and stun the crowd. The fans were on their feet, as the shaken Sokolov rolled out the ring, seemingly more surprised than anyone. Hijo climbed atop the turnbuckles and savoured the moment, as the night drew to a close.
WINNER: Hijo de la Muerta (Advances to the Semi-Finals)
"What a whirlwind couple of months for Hijo de la Muerta. Barely out of wrestling school, and within touching distance of a Heavyweight Title."
"I can't see many people getting the better of Sokolov. He's a dangerous human being. But nobody is infallible in professional wrestling."
"No MPW next week. But next time out we'll be crowning our first ever Melee Champion, AND the first EVER MPW British Heavyweight Champion!"
"Hijo de la Muerta, Jessi Ozborne, Vanessa Reckless and Lilith Parker. Who will come through? Will Cassie Wolfe retain AGAIN when she faces Rowen? Has Jvstice Hardy bitten off more than he can chew with the Journeymen? We'll find out in due course. Until then, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone."
